Workplace Challenges

The Challenges component of the wellness platform offers users 3 types of gamified health behaviour change modules - Team Challenges, Solo Challenges, and Virtual Adventures. I was on maternity leave when the user interfaces were designed and developed, but I contributed much of the more substantial content of the specific modules in Team and Solo Challenges.

Team Challenges

Each Challenge focuses on a specific health topic – like nutrition, physical activity, mental wellness, or happiness and positivity. And each week of a Challenge focuses on a different theme for that health topic. Competitors try out 4 small but impactful daily activities each week. To earn points and badges, competitors check in daily and record how many of the 4 daily activities they’ve achieved. Competitors receive 3 emails per week to motivate, educate, and support their efforts.

Solo Challenges

The tracker-based Solo Challenges aim to focus user's intention on building specific healthy habits over 28 days. Each Solo Challenge includes a daily activity target, informational content to help achieve that target, feedback based on their check-ins, and a schedule of supportive reminder emails.
